There was a site I went to a while back that had a few plug-ins that were developed by a Cool Edit user. I lost the site. The plug-in I'm looking for is called High-Frequency Simulator. Anyone know where I can get this?

It's called the High Frequency Stimulator, and I think it's by "rgc" or something like that.
Just look for it here: http://www.google.com/ie
There is also http://www.xelenio.com/vsti/ (just click on "effects" at the top)

Thanks for posting that link, Oz ... didn't know about it - tons of cool-looking plugins (hope they're as cool sounding :)
Have you tried any of the VST wrappers? They've been mentioned here before, but I've not tried this yet. Aside from whatever stability issues the host app might have, do these wrappers work ok; are there weird problems mixing them up ... e.g. different latencies, etc.?
cheers

Hi Twang,
I've used the VST-DX Wrapper Lite (free) from Spinaudio. It does work with CEP2 and CE2K, but with the former there are sometimes the problems that seem to arise with CEP2 and plugins generally. I would say that the more you push your luck with plugins and CEP2, the more likely you are to run into trouble. I don't know about latency problems in the context of CEP2 / CE2K / wrapping, because I'm always working with prerecorded material. Given that this wrapper is a freebee, just give it a try and see what it does for you - on an occasion when possible hangs/crashes won't matter.
I've also used a free four-dx-effects-at-once rack, with four wrapped VSt's in at once.... now that is the definition of luck-pushing!
