When working with CEP1.2a I receive the foll. message a lot of times:
fatal error 0E on 0028C004DB00 in VXD VCACHE (01) + 00000524
This happens when I want to store wav.files on my second hard drive, or when I am working in the multitrack mode and want to work with files stored on my second harddisk
Do I have a problem with my hard drive, or is it a problem with my Internal RAM (memory)
Using Windows 98 300 Mhz 256 Mb C drive 8KB D drive 40KB
Please help

Can't help you at all(someone will). Must however say that after receiving the "BSOD", once too often, I went to Windows 2000. Not without it's problems, but it does have a "kinder, gentler" way of telling me I(or it)has screwed up. Almost always a device driver has gone awry and needs a reinstall, or I forgot and left my virus software running).

Teddy's right. VXD = Virtual Device Driver. VCACHE relates to temporary memory. I suspect that you are having OS problems with the way your second drive is set up. On a 300Mhz machine, you need to pay quite a bit of attention to this if you want to get multiple data streams rolling, anyway.
There are a few threads on the forum that have some good advice about this - try 'More memory?'
for starters.

Have you tried this?(pasted from a Synth primer on how to set-up Win98 for CE2k). I actually did this by mistake for Windows 2000. DON'T!
For Windows 95 & 98, add the following lines to the SYSTEM.INI
file. Check for the [vcache] header. Add the header or update the lines
under it.
[vcache]
MinFileCache=4096
MaxFileCache=4096
