At our radiostation we use Dalet 51d software and digigram pcx11/pcx 80 souncards , but CEP won't find them. We use a SBlive128 as prelistening device , and the CEP finds this one at once. I would like the CEP to use the digigrams , how do i do that?????

Synt may be able to add a bit to this, but as far as I'm aware, Digigram products tend to be highly integrated with individual bits of software like Dalet. There is, of course, the opportunity to acquire Digigram's PCXtools and construct your own API, but I'm not aware of any generic windows drivers for the cards. I'm sure that somebody must have done it, though - It seems such a sensible thing to do. Any takers?

Steve

Hello arild. Though I can't comment specifically as to why CEP is not seeing your soundcard, I can tell you that we have many users (mainly broadcast) who use several varieties of the Digigram cards.

As SteveG said, it's probably more to do with the driver (and compatibility with your OS) than anything else.

A recent user of ours had some trouble with his PCX11 using a 5.6ol driver. He switched to 5.6oe and was fine. This, however, was under the NT environment.

I'd probably check with Digigram for driver compatibility with other soundcards, as it's also possible that the SBLive is causing a conflict.

To use CEP with Digigram cards, you need to install the wave driver for your sound card. The drivers are avalible from the Digigram web site http://www.digigram.com/drivers/index.htm

The more dedicated pieces of software like Dalet, ENCO, x-tracks, and etc. use the np or pcx drivers that are native to Digigram.
