Hi all,
I've recently upgraded from 1.2a to version 2. Everything seemed to be working well. But last night I was editing a large audiofile (about 250 MB). It was a voice-recording and I needed to save a few parts of the recording as seperate files. So I listend through it and marked the pieces I needed with cues. When All the cues were placed properly, I started deleting all the material I didn't want to keep, and then it happened... After the deleting all the cues were displaced... I'm not exactly sure how this happened. I tried it again, and the same thing happened. I could work around this problem, but I must say I was a bit dissapointed in CEP... has anyone experienced the same problem?

Harry, can you give us better reproduction steps? I'd like to do that on my machine, and see what you're seeing.

Hi Drumcat, sure I can. Here I go:
Load a large audio file (I only experience it with large files i.e. a few hundred mb). Then place a few cues here and there. After that delete, a large portion of the beginning of the file. This is when, (at least over at my place) the cues get displaced.

Version 2.0 or 2.1? There are a lot of bug fixes in 2.1.

It's 2.0 Ozpeter, so I guess my first move should be upgrading to 2.1 I'll do that right away. Thanks for the info.

Harry, please let us know how that goes.
My understanding is this for CEP2.1: if you place cues in a file in Edit View and delete portions of it, the subsequent cues will remain married to the correct location and sound. If you edit in Multitrack View, however, this is different. Cues within files still appear in the waveblocks but are not relevant to mixdown cues. Rather, placing cues in the multitrack itself will result in those cues transferring to the mixdown file. However, adding or deleting time in Multitrack View, and moving blocks around does not affect cues, presumably because they're not linked to any particular sound. Rather, the cues remain at a constant location unless directly moved.
Harry, I presume from your post you were working in Edit View. In version 2.1 you should no longer have the problem you'd described.

Euhm... HanzZ what's this? Do I know you?
Anyway... you're right... I was talking about edit view, and I am going to upgrade in the near future.
