Here's a filter to reverse the Pre-Emphasis of extracted audio from
CDs that have the Pre-Emphasis flag on. To use, paste this into your
cool.ini file in the [Filters96] section and change the item number
(XXX) to be one greater than the last item in that section of your
file. This is a representation of the actual circuit of my CD player.

Has anyone actually ever seen a CD that uses pre-emphasis? I presume they'd have been mastered in the early 80s.
