I have a project where I need to overdub some audio tracks over an existing MIDI file, so I thought I'd try out the MIDI support in CEP for once. MIDI out is going to a Yamaha Motif via its USB MIDI driver.

I imported the MIDI file into a session and things were working nicely for a while, but lately CEP is crashing regularly when I hit Play, or especially when I'm in the "map" dialog assigning MIDI tracks to channels. If I keep the MIDI track muted and don't mess with it, everything is fine.

I think this is really a job for some other software, but I like CEP and if someone knows a quick fix to the above I'd love to hear it.

Have you downloaded cep 2.1? I just know that it's less buggy than 2.0

Yes - tried to say in the subject line that this is CEP 2.1.

Thanks,

We are always asking people to be specific in their titles, like you were, and both AMSG and I both missed the essential bit of info there! Ooops.... Having said that, I suspect this is one for support by email (they don't work weekends, I believe) - unless you get some other suggestions. Usually the advice when someone has something that works, and then it stops, is 'think hard about anything else you've changed on your system, or installed, or downloaded'. I don't think this is a problem which should be expected to happen.
