Hi everyone, I am new to Cool Edit Pro and need some help. When recording cassette tapes from Line In, is there a way to have the program automatically detect the silences between tracks and split them for me? Thanks in advance

No, I'm afraid you'll just have to spend a few minutes dropping the cues in yourself - you can then highlight all the cues in the cue list and use the merge function to make them into ranges, then batch them out to separate files.

There is a silence threshold detector, but it's not reliable on cassettes, or on any track that fades in or out. As Jon says, if you want a result, you have to make a bit of effort. And hey, you might actually learn something about CE!
I'd check out the tutorials as well, if I were you.
