hello,
if i record tracks in CEP 2.0, and start a track not at time 0, is there a way to write information in the beginning of these tracks and save it?
what i want to do is import these tracks to other software, but if i did, all the tracks would just start at 0. is there a way i can do this?
thanks
neil

Sure does... Just go to Edit mode to insert silence. Back in Mix mode in one of the drop down menus, i think edit...can remember off the top of my head, there is a Mix down to file...and Mix down to empty track #(whatever track is empty).

You could mix the two together - but that would stop you splitting them again when you import into the other software.
Silence will take up exactly the same space as the equivalent length of noise (the software can't differentiate between the two!). Seems to me adding silence would be the most effective method.

after fooling around with silence i found an easier way:
in multitrack mode
1. snap to the begining of the wav.
2. highlight the range beween the begiining of the track and zero.
3. hit the record button.
4. Insert> Empty Wave> all record-armed tracks.
5. Merge the 2 tracks
This mad useful for people like me who usually start the later tracks at the same time. real easy because you can insert empty waves to multiple tracks.
thanks again
