Does anyone know if this can be used to control CEP 2.0?

If you want to post a link to your bands website - that's fine. But don't be sneaky about it, some of us don't have the time or the patience to be fooled with false representation like this!

Well, you have to admit...
The thread title did list the device in question...

And using an Avatar, the signature shows higher in the text block if the text is short. Granted, that could be confusing.
Wink heh!

Pardon me but that was a legitimate question, i truly need to know if that can be done, what, since i only have 6 posts i dont deserve to have my questions answered? I suppose i could have typed tons of BS so my sig would have been lower down on the page...
Plenty of people come to our site for the music, i dont need to spam newsgroups to be seen and personally i could care less if you ever saw it or not. excuse the **** out of me for having a sig.
I apologize for the tone of this post, im usually a much more tactful person, but come on, that was uncalled for..

I see that you made an honest mistake, but so did Graeme.

Don't expect to get friendly help from anyone if you're going to come out on the attack. I also don't advise making enemies with the seasoned pros on this forum. As I've said before, without them, this whole thing would be pretty useless.

On another note, how odd that everyone seems to be suddenly interested in external controllers all at once... funny.

:)

i do not believe i made any mistake at all, i asked a legitimate question, i dont care how advanced you are in the industry that gives you no right to disrespect me,
i did not come out and attack, i responded to what i saw as a personal insult, which i take very seriously

I'm sorry about that - I was definitely a bit quick off the mark there. I hadn't realised the question was actually contained in the title of the thread - thread titles so often bear little or no relationship to the subject, I tend to not even look at them >:K.

Please accept my apologies, I'll try to read it a bit better next time around.

As for the question itself - I don't know. Cooper definitely claim that it works with CEP, but seem a little reticent about what it will actually do. I'll download the manual and see if there are any clues in that.

On the face of it, even if it's not much use with CEP, it's certainly an interesting device which could prove useful for some other applications.

No problem Graeme, thats one of the limitations of this format, things arent always as they seem at first look...
Ive gotta stop replying in the mornings after "planning meetings" at work...i tend to be a bit fired up around then... :D

That CS-32 does seem pretty cool and the bang for buck ratio seems higher than on the Tascams, which so far is the only thing other than the Red Rover that i know for sure will work...and im sorry but i want multiple faders darn it...

the quest continues Tongue

I downloaded and read the manual and, quite honestly, I'm none the wiser for it.

In the manual it says;

The CS-32 MiniDESK is directly supported by:
•Digidesign Pro Tools HD, TDM, LE & Free
•Steinberg Cubase and Nuendo 1.6
•MOTU Digital Performer 3.1

No mention at all is made of Syntrillium products, other than what you see on their webpage.

Somehow, I doubt if it will do much (if anything) more than the Red Rover does, since it is basically just a midi controller. I strongly suspect the faders won't do a thing for you, since Syntrillium don't implement any midi control of the software faders (AFAIK) Disapprove.
