For everyone who is worried that their equipment isn't up to par, this is proof that it's not all about the hardware...more about how you use what you have.Big Grin

I most definitely agree. I started a recent thread with suggestions..... 'A few "basic" suggestions.. : )' and Bram41 has evidently "gone the full length" to work with what equipment he has and.... (as proven by the performance) these guys PRACTICE!!! Good job, keep kicking!! Wink

thanks guys, really nice to hear Big Grin
i recently spent my first day in a 'real' superduper studio (as a drummer),
and it was really cool but pretty demotivating too...
all those hifi racks with compressors, effects, and the huge mixer... aaargh!
how am i ever going to pay for all that!? Dead
well... i guess i'll stick to recording punkrock! Wink

Don't know if i'll get soundly reprimanded for this or not, because i haven't checked in to get permission, but here goes, and aplogies to Kevin Looker, for whom i do a little bit of mixing work for his Chico, CA studio. He records for free the young people who have no means of recording at the money studios. I do remote mixing (Atlanta), tracks are sent via CDs.

You can listen to a cut done by a group of very young guys, late teens i think, maybe around 20 yers old, with only 2 guitars, bass, drums, and one vocal. For rock this is pretty gentle. It was recorded and mixed in CEP2.0. At the site you have the option to listen lo-fi, hi-fi, or download.

I don't play nor necessarily listen to much rock, only while scanning the radio dial, so it was a challenge trying to get it right... maybe i didn't -- Blush -- but it is all Cool Edit Pro.
