Hi everyone!

I am thinking of buying this DAW controller and I was wondering how good it works with Cool Edit Pro. I have searched the forums but haven't found any definitive answers. A found a few questions that were posted that were never even answered.

From what I have found (on here and on Tascam's web site) is that it works, but only through US-428 emulation mode.

What I want to know is, does it work using the transport buttons and using the faders to control faders in CEP? How is the sound quality?

Is there any plans to support this natively in the future from Syntrillium?

By the way, I am using CEP 2.0.

Thanks in advance!
Scott

Hello Scott. It's been a while since I've worked with this device in the 'Emulation' mode, so I can't really say; you might want to drop support a line.

However, I can say that in our next update of CEP2, we will 'natively' support this device. And just FYI:

1) Transport Controls? Yes.

2) Faders? Yes. (but keep in mind, this is only real-time control - we don't write fader automation, we still use envelopes, but you can make adjustments to the mixer, in real-time, or anytime)

One of the benefits of the US-428 (that unfortunately, is not part of the 224) is that we also access their 'EQ' section - so you can make your track EQ changes right on the 428, watching as they change in CEP2.
