Hi all,
Wondering if anyone knows or has a liner sheet template that I can use at my station.
I have been writing my own in word, but I find the jocks just 'read' them. So I am looking for a set-up that requires them to think and be creative. So like all good ideas in radio, ask someone else and see if they have done it first. If you can help me please get back to this posting ASAP.
Cheers,
air

We use a basic "what, who, when, where" outline that just gives the facts. That way. the air talent is pretty much forced into putting it into their own words. This also encourages them to plan ahead and not go into the break "cold", as it will be obvious on the air. We also highlight "must mentions" (sponsors, etc.) so they don't skip over these.
Hope this helps!

Air Man it put a smile on my face to read your On Air problem.. I know myself running my own internet Live radio show,, the few sponsors I have here dont mind the 6 diffrent music beds I play under each spot,, but they always want the live read,, it helps that the copy is of my own writing. I do play with the copy all the time,, which at times can include on air screw ups,, but you know what ? the small audience of faithful listeners I have prefer the live read...
I am actually hoping the next set of sponsors I am bringing on board lol will maybe want to come in and lay down thier own spot... but you know what again.. It is what makes live radio on the internet a little bit diffrent.. I dont think I answered your question really... but I figured I would put in my $0.02 :-)
