I'm using Propellerheads Reason as my software. I want to use a loop I create with CE2K.
How do I make CE2K store information to convert say 122.567 BPM to 120 BPM in Reason's sampler?
I've tried using Edit Tempo, but it will not change the tempo within Reason.
Also, using Sample Info, the run say Loop 2 times forward, will not loop 2 times in Reason, but infinitely. Any ideas???
Thanks

Hello. Not really sure what you're asking here, as I'm not familiar with 'Reason'. There is, however, a way to change tempo, and 'Stretching' is the most effective way, particularly with such a small time (BPM) difference.

For details, check out our FAQs...

I don't know anything about reason.
But I use cakewalk to sequence "loops". They're not really loops because they are short passages that are sampled and looped only by the sequencer, not the wave itself.
Maybe you do this already.
I find this easier for several reasons.
1) saves space, samples aren't as long.
2) track is created first, then sample is edited to fit the track.
3) finding the right tempo is easier, with simple midi triggering then going in and reedit the sample.

Do you use midi?
Maybe you know of rrammdrrumm? I use this and Sweet Little Piano to trigger samples in rrammdrrumm to sequence in cakewalk.
I can tell roughly by listening what the tempo of the loop should be. Then I take that sample and add it to every "key" in an octave. Then the track is played back, I simply trigger the sample to the tempo, and finding out exactly what "key" it works in the best!

Wow, hope that helps!

I am going to buy a midi keyboard/controller to trigger my samples.
I figured out the loop tempo's yesterday, before any posts to my thread.
After creating my desired loop, I changed the tempo accordingly with TIME/STRETCH. If it changed too drastically I took out or padded with silence and then changed tempo.
Using the bar time line it is easy to gauge and snap to time.
Thanks

Glad that the time stretch worked for you. It really is very powerful.
