Anyone had any experience with Waves S1 Stereo Imager?  As with all of Waves plugins, it's relatively expensive, but wondering if it's worth the investment? I know there are lots of plugins for analyzing/correcting stereo image issues (including some in AA 3.0), but I've read/heard lots of positives about this Waves plugin and wondering what makes it stand out from the others?

The answer to that bit is the operational interface and display, definitely. Audition can achieve all of the same  processing, but not all in the same module, and without the conveniently pre-programmed knobs and display. If you need to use this sort of processing often, then the Waves S1 is probably a good bet.

Do you own this, Steve, and actually use it?  I was a little curious as to how the "Assymetry" and "Rotation" sliders differed.

I used to have it on a system here, but it's not there now, and I haven't used it for years. And no, I'm sorry but I can't recall what the difference between the sliders is. The reason for not using it now is that all the manipulation I ever want or need to do I can do with a combination of Audition and Ozone, and I haven't really felt the need of any Waves plugins for ages.

If you want to read a comparative commentary on pretty much everything that was available in this line*, then SOS ran an article you might like to peruse:

*A google search reveals a few more now
