I am having to make a CD of some speech material that was recorded at 1 7/8 ips on a reel to reel recorder. My machine's slowest speed is 3 3/4 so I digitised it at 88.2K. I don't want to have to stretch the file as well as converting it's sample rate. To play back at the correct speed and to allow me to burn it to CD I need to change the .wav header info to 44.1K. What is the best way to do this? Is there any free software to do this or will I have to use a Hex editor to change it?

To reply to my own question. Silly me. Edit/Adjust Sample Rate. I am so used to doing complex sample rate conversions that I had forgotten the simple things.
