Hi.
I'm new here. I recently acquired AA3 after having used AA2 for a couple of years.

I used AA2 on a fairly old computer with no problems whatsoever and was able to import and drag and drop directly from CD. I now have the latest computer, using Windows 7, 4 gig memory, large HD etc. but I can't import direct from CD. I know the procedures but they just won't work. I'm also not able to record "What U Hear". I'm using a Digidesign interface (also have PT which I haven't got into yet until I get the Adobe problem sorted).

By the way, the tracks will play in Windows.

I've used AA2 in the past on several computers and have had no difficulties. This one is causing me major problems. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

WWW

To import audio properly from CD you need to use software like Exact Audio Copy which has decent error detection built in. Other software may appear to do the job but you may well end up with glitches in the audio if your CD's are less than perfect.

I've been importing from CD for a long time now on the old machine and with no difficulties and no unwanted clicks or pops.

I noticed some posts from last year and I've already checked all of these. Nothing is working. Is this a Windows 7 problem and is there a way around it?...not the long way I might add, as I've been there already.

I think this is a problem on at least some machines with Windows 7. I thought it only applied to the 64-bit version, but haven't done much research.

I think the only simple option may be to use another app for this.
