Let me first state that the songs I am going to post here are religious.  If that offends you then you should not listen!

Over the last year I've been attempting to record enough songs put on a CD and call it an album.  Ha.  The problem is, after I record a piece I end up making around 10 different mixes....and then I can't choose which one is the best, and then I move to the next song (usually because I can't stand to hear that song any longer, and each progressive mix gets worse).

The first song is an acoustic guitar and vocal song (I Am Near).  It's a simple song.  I actually didn't spend very much time mixing it.  After burning it to a CD and playing it in various systems the guitar seemed bass heavy (especially in a car).  So, the next mix I pulled down some of the low frequency....but I am unsure if I did enough, I have not had the opportunity to hear it in the car again.  I am also unsure of the reverb....there is a lot of it!

The second song is definitely more "rock" than the first.  It's called "Out of the Masquerade".  I absolutely do not enjoy mixing drums!  I always seem to have trouble with low-frequency...... this mix has been revised at least 20 times.  Everything is hi-passed except the kick, and bass guitar.   I am not to happy with the vocal performance, I was testing a different mic, a CAD Trion 8000 (tube mic) as opposed to my normal studio projects c1; although I do not blame the mic for my own poor performance!

I would love any suggestions/help!
