I just upgraded to 3.0 and like a lot of the new features like the spot brush! However, I was looking for the preset reverb settings like concert hall etc from 1.5 and cannot find them in 3.0. Any suggestions on how to recover those presets that came with 1.5 will be appreciated. I still do have 1.5 on another machine that I did not uninstall  huh

You don't have to uninstall 1.5 on the machine you have 3.0 on - or any other version, come to that. They all co-exist quite happily.

To transfer 1.5 presets to 3.0, you need to find the Audition.ini file located at:

Documents and Settings >[user name]>application data>Adobe>audition>1.5

Pick it up with the mouse, and drop it over the 3.0 icon on your desktop, and any presets that are capable of being transferred will be. This doesn't work with AA2.0 though - if you want to import AA2.0 presets, you need the Effects Migration tool in our AA3.0 stickies section.

I realise that the method of importing presets seems to be a little, perhaps, 'implausible', but it really does work.

If the 1.5 install is on another machine, this won't work of course Smiley .   You'll have to copy the file onto a disk or other removable medium and then put that into the machine with 3.0 on it.  Then you can do the drag and drop trick as SteveG has outlined.

Thank You very much. I am going to install 1.5 on the new machine with 3.0 and do the drag and drop. I was a bit weary to install 3.0 with 1.5 because I did not know if they would coexist and did not want to corrupt my 1.5. Thanks again!

One of the nice things about this software is that any version can co-exist with any, or all, other versions.  This is a lesson that I can only wish a few other software houses would learn from.

notie girl, please be aware that Full Reverb was re-written as a VST effect and that presets from 1.5 won't have identical results in 3.0.  You still may find it useful as a good starting point, while the best results will be had by editing the various parameters to suit your discerning ear.  Depending on the preset, the differences range from subtle to significant.
