I'm a newbie and i have many questions.
Hello,
I've just subscribed to this forum so i'm going to introduce myself in few words.
My name's David, i'm 32 years old and i live in Paris, France. My written English isn't very good but i'll try to do my best. I'm a guitarist and i've started to play at 16 because i was a big fan of bands like Guns'n'Roses, Metallica, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin, etc..
Actually i only play on an old acoustic guitar and i've decided to make my own songs and to record them with Adobe Audition 3.0, that's the reason i've decided to post here.
I have many questions about how to use Audition 3 correctly but i'll start with these two.
1) First i'm completly new to this kind of software. I'd like to know how i should do when i record, mix and masterize my songs. That's not a technical question but i need to know all the diffrent steps. For example should i remove the "noise" only when the whole song is completed or should i do it for every piece of music i've decided to keep (like the intro, the verses then the chorus,etc...) to build the whole song?
2) Now my biggest problem is this one : when i want to make my song, i try to play it 3-4 times as best as i can and i record each version in a different track then i keep the best intro, the best verse, etc.. In order to do that i edit the "track", i choose the part i want to keep as an intro or a chorus and i saved it as a wav file that i use in the multitrack view.
After that i don't know how to do if i want my chorus to be played every 30s or something : should i copy and paste it after every chorus or is there a way to do it automatically ? I know i can make loops but when i say in the options "play the loops every 30s or every x beats" it doesn't works. More, sometime i can clearly hear that the chorus doesn't suits the verse very well (i miss a note or something like that..). Also, it looks like Audition changes the sound of my music. If i do something on a part of the song in the "edit view" when i play the whole song in the multitask view, some part are played with a higher volume than some others.
I know it's a lot of things but i hope someone will understand what i'm trying to say and maybe will answer me or give me some advices/tips.
Thanks.
