Has anyone else run into problems storing VST settings with Audition 3? I can save new presets, but selecting them afterwards doesn't recall any of the settings. Plus, if I try to save a noise reduction profile and then load it back in, I get the message that the current wave format is not compatible with the stored profile's fornat. This happens even if I save a profile and reload it without changing the wave file in Audition! I checked the Adobe forum but all I could find over there was someone asking the same question about presets not storing, but no one answered it.

The noise reduction profile is channel-specific.  A profile made from single channel audio won't be recognized for stereo, and
vice versa.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I discovered that it's channel dependant when I used AA2, but with v3, I seem to get the error all the time, even when the channels are clearly the same (i.e., profile was saved from a stereo sample and current file is selected as stereo). I have to recapture a noise profile each time I use the noise reduction plugin. It simply will not work with any stored profiles. I thought at first it was because I was trying to load a profile created in AA2, but once I tried loading a profile I'd just created and saved in 3 yet it wouldn't work, I knew something was wrong.

WWW

I knew something was wrong.

Something is indeed wrong - but I don't think it's an AA3 bug (at least, as far as the noise profile bit is concerned, I've not tried VST settings) as it works fine for me.  I think I'd try a re-install of the software before going any further.

Thanks for the re-install advice. I tried it and now both problems seem to be fixed. The Noise Reduction profiles save and load properly and created VST presets seem to be remembered. 2 for 2!

Thanks.
