When I do a mixdown of stuff in MV, I get an audible click/pop right at the beginning of the file.  I think I can remember somebody talking about this either here or at Adobe a couple of months ago, but it wasn't my problem then and I didn't pay attention.  Anybody know about this and the fix?

WWW

I've noticed this a couple of times myself be it isn't a big deal. Bring the mixdown into Edit view, hold down Ctrl>A to select all, hit the "zoom in " + button about 3 times, scroll to the left and drag the yellow cursor from the left until it reaches almost the start of the wave then hold down Ctrl>T to trim the file to suit and the pop will be gone.

Yeah, I know how to trim stuff.  But I'm wondering why it happens, and more importantly, how to avoid it.

Do you have your snapping set to zero crossings (right click on the time line)?

I don't see the option you mention.  What I have is this:

Snap to markers. (enabled)

Snap to ruler (coarse).  (enabled)

Snap to ruler (fine).  (disabled)

Snap to clips. (enabled)

Snap to loop endpoints. (enabled)

Snap to frames.

I assumed you were in EV; there you have that option snap to zero crossings. It's not present in MV.

Ah!  I seldom inhabit EV - I go there strictly on a need-to-go basis lol.

Yes, it's there.  And no, I don't have 'snap to zero crossing's enabled.  I'll try that.  Thanks, Stan.

In version 2 I get what appears to be one buffer's worth of junk at the start of the mixdown - maybe this is the same problem?

I've not tried version 3 yet to see if the bug still exists.

Cheers

James.

I'll check next time it happens to see if it's a buffer's worth.  Thanks for the heads up.
