Some software companies offer a free upgrade if you have bought an earlier version within a certain period

Just called Adobe: 1(800)833-6687 (Direct Line to Customer Service)
As I bought AA 2.0 July 8, 2007 I am eligible for FREE upgrade to AA 3.0 paying $6.45 S/H Charges.

Well done!  I wonder if it will be more widely advertised....

A friend of mine in the states was expecting delivery of AA 3.0 upgrade today from Amazon.com.

Amazon website now saying order delivery will be around 12th November.  cry

Is there some problem with AA 3.0 that we should be told about   wink

From the official Adobe Audition 3 sales order web page.........

"We are currently accepting preorders for Adobe Audition 3, which is expected to ship by mid-November 2007."

I think that's what mine said as well.  I'm on the road until the 18th so hopefully it will be waiting for me when I return.

I just checked the adobe store, that Audition store page says its "now available".  The rest of the Adobe site still says "pre-order" but I am guessing it is a matter of time before that updates.

I just downloaded and installed it.  Runs very smoothly on my 3 year old Dell Poweredge (2.8 P4 / 2GB RAM).  One positive thing is that it takes 100MB less at startup than AA 2.0 (122MB vs. 222MB).  I pulled in a stereo acoustic guitar recording and fooled around with the convolution reverb.  Got some really nice sounds out of it.

Now I need to read the docs!

For those thinking of upgrading PCs it's really worth considering quad-core if you're doing much noise reduction work. NR runs which would have taken perhaps a quarter of an hour on my old Athlon XP2600 run in about 45 seconds on AA3 as it works it through all four cores on my new Intel processor simultaneously. Now that's what I call a productivity boost! grin
