AA3 snubs it's nose at my old Athlon 2500XP computer. I had to update to an Intel Duo Core, just for AA3. I'm not complaining as I'm starting to like the new computer's capabilities. My new computer should last a good long while, before it will need to be updated, but then again, it's already outdated, with quad cores. Smiley

Whilst I'm sure the new PC is a worthwhile upgrade, I have it on very good authority that 3.0 would run quite happily on your old machine, whatever might be suggested elsewhere...

However, if that is so, Adobe are putting out misleading, or at least incomplete, information about it.  Of course it is all the more believable because the SoundBooth installer refuses to proceed if the SSE2 instructions are not present.

I tried installing the Soundbooth beta about a year ago and it wouldn't run on my Athlon computer. Neither would the  M-powered Pro Tools demo I tried. Even Vista's Areo glass feature didn't work right. So there's definitely something amiss.

The new Intel computer should work just fine with all of the above. I'll have a more powerful processor, greater speed, better quality video card, better quality memory, so it should work out well for me for years.

Very interesting - but I find it hard to be more certain of what I'm suggesting WRT 3.0... wink
