WWW

Upon opening up AA tonight, it opened up to the edit view screen.  However, when I selected Multitrack view, it wouldn't appear and the screen froze, so I closed out and tried it again.  Same thing.  I rebooted.  Same thing.  When I tried to open a session from an icon on my desktop (to get to the Multitrack view), I was prompted to restart AA, only this time to see that a runtime error came up.

I then deleted the audition_settings icon per the instuctions from the previous post about what to do about a runtime error that Steve recomended.  Restarted.  Same thing.

Now I've reinstalled AA only for it to do the same thing.  Help!

Well, I uninstalled AA 2.0, and also AA 1.5, and CEP and reinstalled them all again, and it seems to be ok now.  AA 2.0 won't let me install it unless I have those others installed.  Has anybody encountered this situation?

I don't have 2.0 so I don't remember under what different conditions it could have been obtained, but that sounds like a normal upgrade path purchase instead of a standalone new purchase version.

I have AA2 (upgrade from 1.5) installed on a laptop which does not have 1.5 installed.  I simply had to type in my original 1.5 serial number at the appropriate screen.

I have AA 1,5 and AA 2,0 both installed on same PC. Never had problems at all.

Just a quick word about rebooting. I remember someone telling me once that there is a big difference between rebooting (re-starting the machine straight away) and switching off, waiting 20 mins and starting again; something in the machine re-sets after 15 or 20 mins, and after following that piece of advice my 'reboots' have been much more successful.
