...and even more annoying, when the Forum changed over, I had a few nice wee stars after my name, now I've only one. If I don't get a few extra one's, I gonna use the Afro Smiley ALL the time grin afro

You're back Graeme! I fixed the problem.  Have a look around, it will take a little while before we are all used to the new forum.   huh

Classy Chris, can I have a few more grin Seriously, 3 is nice. I have seen several forums were stars represent post limits like 1 after 10,  2 after 100 etc etc. The control and layout of the forum seems good and as you say, it should pan out after a while. Keep up the excellent work. wink

I'm sure it will - but not tonight Smiley

What prompted the change from the other software?

Might as well reply to this topic as anywhere else to see if I can still post OK.

Maybe I'm struggling even more than usual. The main email machine , an oldish laptop went bang as I opened the lid and one of the hinges literally flew into dozens of pieces of steel and plastic. So had an emergency port of email and internet acces to the machine I'm on now.
I use Firefox everywhere except on this particular machine which was on IE6, but I've foolishly allowed this to update to IE7, so there was a change of forum, machine and change of browser at about the same time.

So far, I hate IE7 most  cry, this IBM (slower in spite of a faster processor) comes next rolleyes and the new forum, well, perhaps I'll get used to it undecided
