WWW

So today my musician friend and I tracked for 12 hours.  As we tracked, we mixed which is to say we saved our session as we went.  Finally at the end of our session we saved and closed session.  Although none of the files in the list cleared, all the tracks in the actual session did.  Then, we tried to re-open the session just to make sure everything was alright and it wouldn't open.  I'm not on my recording computer right now to be able to tell you exactly what the error message said but whatever it said, it crashed my machine to the point all I could do to shut it down was unplug it.  Upon turning back on my machine and REMIXING THE ENTIRE SESSION and RE-SAVING UNDER A NEW NAME when I tried to open it again, same thing, error message, machine crash.  Anyone ever experience anything like this?  Thanks!

One possibility is that one of the plug-ins that you are using in that session isn't behaving properly.  Try refreshing your plug-ins and see if the refresh process hangs at any point.

Cheers

James.

That is a very good idea, James.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was going to create a new post entitled "Hell session" but I think I'd be just as well to continue here.

Just a few of the error messages I encountered this weekend using AA 2.0 and E-MU 1820m:

ERROR #1

Audition has encountered and error!

[\dev\stingray\medialayer\src\audio\asiohost.cpp-635]

ERROR #2

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Runtime Error!

Program:  C:\ProgramFiles\Adobe\AdobeAudition2.0\Audition.exe
R6025
-Pure Virtual Function Call

ERROR #3

Audition has encountered an error!

[\camelback\main\common\premiereshell\src\playerfactory.cpp-379]

ERROR #4

Manage Temporary Folder Reserve Space

Clear some undo items or close some waveforms.  (I only had 354 gigabytes available at the time, I mean, it makes perfect sense, right?)

ERROR #5

End Program - Pele Launcher (I think this pertains to E-mu)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

All of this ontop of not being able to save my sessions correctly made me want to turn and haul tail back to my Delta 1010 and AA 1.5 - but the fact of the matter is that this set up SOUNDS a lot better [when it works] and so I'm pressing on.

Any ideas?
