Are there any plans to inplement a XML (RSS or Atom) newsfeed for AM?

There are several on the phpBB.com MOD site; I've installed these two on my site (within 20 minutes or so) that are very useful and actually work.

They are:

RSS Syndication Mod (For 2.0.19) by Lucky Luke - Discussion here.
and
SmartFeed by Mark Hamill - Discussion here.

RSS works great.  Please enable it on audiomastersforum.net.  It will certainly aid in getting the forum out to the audience.

Thanks so much!

It truly is amazing how easy that mod is to apply for what it does.

Again, thanks!

Using a newsreader or a browser that accepts RSS and/or XML newsfeeds, it will display the latest messages in a single page.

Rather than using the "View unread posts" and viewing only the topic, author, and latest reply info, the newsfeed provides the text of the topics as well.

One page (and one click) for reading everything since your last visit.

And what purpose is served by the unformatted pageful of threads that appears when I first click on the button? and which also appears when I close the Newsfeed tab?

That's the XML that the newsreader reads.  Without it, the feed wouldn't work!    Cheesy
