Hi all,
I am new to the list and have been reading through treads for the past few days.  I've been using CEP since 98 and am currently using AAv1 as well as cubase SL2 in a for-hire small studio environment.  I'd like to hear from anyone willing to weigh in on the subject of whether or not AAv2 is worth the upgrade and if so why.  Also please feel free to include your thoughts on inadequacies of the current version (either in comparison to previous versions or simply as to the programs continuing unaddressed shortfalls).
Any anecdotal illustrations of your praises or criticisms would would be welcome as well.  Thank you in advance for your time with this.
sincerely, scott from santa fe

As individual needs and systems and expectations vary radically, there really is no substitute for downloading the trial and hammering it hard for a month.  That way you will encounter the points of detail which make all the difference (for good or ill).

WWW

In my opinion it totally depends on how much you use the multitrack view. This is the main area of improvement in V2. If you are using Audition for fine scale editing and Cubase for multitracking then the differences may not be so important to you.

As ozpeter says, try the demo.

Cheers

James.

This not true - speed of most operations has been improved, and you may benefit from the vastly improved spectral view.  Anyway, try the demo. You may also find 1.5 vs. 2.0 discussions on this forum.
