Sometimes when I open a session none of the transport buttons are enables (all greyed out). The only way to enable them is to switch to edit view and then back to MT. No biggy, but odd

I think that's a sign that the program hasn't connected to the soundcard.  But why that should be I don't know.  You could probably also fix it by restating your soundcard preferences in Audio Hardware Setup.

I think that this is a little flaky too. I think that it may be all a part of the 'fussy XML' syndrome that AA2.0 appears to suffer from.

This used to happy to me from time to time with 1.5 also.  It's a little frustrating, but not too bad since you can do what is described above.
