Well, for those of us truly down south, it's very un-hot.  I'm sitting here with the heater on max and still need a rug on my lap.

Mine was only a relative reference, of course. Wildduck is a few hundred miles north of where I am, and as far as I'm concerned, he's having better weather. I get regular reports from my youngest son as well - he's at University not far from him, so I know it's not just a one-off thing either.

Where we are has, over the last few years, gotten more of a 'mediterranean' climate (and severe water shortages), to the extent that we have, as an experiment, planted some stuff outside that wouldn't normally survive very well in the climate we are supposed to have, and it is doing quite well.

And in case you hadn't guessed, I'd far rather be in a cooler climate altogether - but SWMBO won't agree to move to somewhere more acceptable, unfortunately.

It's been the coldest Sydney winter for some years, and at 6 o'clock this morning I was very aware of the fact. No rug on my lap though.  evil  Still, if today is like the last couple of days, by 11 o'clock I'll be sitting outside in the sun having morning tea & either reading or surfing the net on the laptop and not feeling the slightest bit sorry for those who still need to work for a living.  Cheesy

And the day has more than lived up to its promise. I've had a fair bit to do today & I've really enjoyed not doing it!
