Well, for those of us truly down south, it's very un-hot. I'm sitting here with the heater on max and still need a rug on my lap.
Mine was only a relative reference, of course. Wildduck is a few hundred miles north of where I am, and as far as I'm concerned, he's having better weather. I get regular reports from my youngest son as well - he's at University not far from him, so I know it's not just a one-off thing either.
Where we are has, over the last few years, gotten more of a 'mediterranean' climate (and severe water shortages), to the extent that we have, as an experiment, planted some stuff outside that wouldn't normally survive very well in the climate we are
supposed to have, and it is doing quite well.
And in case you hadn't guessed, I'd
far rather be in a cooler climate altogether - but SWMBO won't agree to move to somewhere more acceptable, unfortunately.
