I have a session with 14 drum tracks and a simple rythm track (bass/piano combined). When I opened the session it took about 3 minutes to open. I couldn't understand until I had a look at found that AA had only created .pk files for the rythm track shocked

I have both stereo and mono drum tracks

I tried renaming a track to something simple (they all had long names), but that didn't help
I tried saving the session in a new folder and saving all associated files, that didn't help.

Have I missed something here, 'cos it didn't use to be a problem with 2.0 so I guess I have done something, I just can't figure out what!

P.S. I even tried editing a track and saving it with the session - no help

What format are you saving the files in?  (And are you sure that you're saving in the format you think you are saving in?)  And have you got the option to save peak files ticked in Edit > Preferences?  (Not running the program right now, I'm going from memory).

OK I think I see it - the files are 32 bit fiels saved as 24 bit (that's what Sonar outputs). Looks like I have to do a batch conversion rolleyes
And I thought I had found a quick way of getting BFD files into AA wink

WWW

Glad I searched before I started a new topic....
Just had the same problem.  Imported 16 tracks (>45min long each), saved session, reopened session.  It took over 40minutes to load!  The files were recorded in Vegas and saved as 24bit.  Just to be sure I understand, do they need to be 32 bit to create peak files?  I have "convert to 32 bit on open" checked in preferences as well as the "save pk files" box.
