Welll... there's still nothing on the market that quite does the same job somehow - nothing that you could picture really capturing the market.

I just wish that the Hi-MD discs were more available, and at a sensible price. Strikes me that in Oz they are cheaper, and that you can actually get them..

I got enough that I'll never need any more!  25 I think.  With the relative ease of upload to PC I don't need to actually keep stuff on Hi-MD disks.  Sony seem now to have pulled Hi-MD from Australia altogether, having dumped existing stocks at silly prices.

The minidisc site is getting so many hits it's hard to read through the new thread there on the new recorder, but several people have pointed out that it gives old MD equipment a new lease of life, as recordings made with older recorders can now be uploaded to PC via USB.  That's so long as people haven't chucked them out and replaced them with CF recorders...
