Make sure you register and that you tick the box saying you are happy to have them email you.  You should either get emails about the extras, or, look at your account record on the Adobe site, where some stuff seems to be found.

I'm waiting myself. I like the new features, but I'm also very reluctant to mess with a pretty stable system until I know more about the stability factor of this new version.

I'll let everyone else test it out first.Smiley

Okay I got the download tryout version, and have put it thru the mill. So far so good, no problems, the new effects layouts and presets are fabulous.

You want this upgrade !!!! Cheesy

I'd say try the tryout version for yourself. Do not use firefox browser while downloading, some sort of technical glitch. You can find the tryout on the Adobe website, but you have to goto the right tryout section, appparently there two different tryout links, I believe you have to go to the products section then to Audition to find the tryout download. It's there, but you have to find the right link.

Thanks, djwayne - my download seems to not work in IE, but will work in firefox!

From where?  I tried to get it from Adobe, but all I got was a message telling me they notify me when it was available.

Thanks - downloading now Smiley .

Adobe do seem to go out of their way to confuse their customers, don't they?

No not really, any new product comes with tons of little unforseen things that crop up, so in reality they're doing pretty good keeping up with things as they occur....besides the final payoff is a great state of the art product, so it's all part of the fun.

Remember this is all cutting edge technology here, be happy they released it at all !!!!!

The confusion I was referring to was the inability of Adobe to provide a download from the 'try before you buy' link on the Audition page - which is where I would expect to find it.  Instead, as we now know, it's hidden somewhere else Smiley .

When I do order it's going to have to be the box - even 470MB for the tryout??? My 1.5 install folder runs to 38.9MB. Where did the bloat come from?

You can order anytime, it's now shipping. My boxed version is scheduled for delivery this monday.

Yes it's a big program, even the loopology has been expanded from 570 mb to 5.5 gigs. It's all 32 bit wav files now + about 500 new loops....

I'll tell ya though, I've been on the tryout version all day, and it's solid as a rock, not one glitch, even with me doing all kinds of stupid stuff trying to learn the program. It's got quite a few new tricks you have to learn, but very worthwhile. It seems they updated every aspect of the program, so it's a whole new program, with some familiar layouts. It's also noticably quicker than 1.5. After today, 1.5 seems like a bare bones program, and no, I don't want to go back. Smiley
