If it were up to the music industry there would be two licenses for each medium. To me if a terrestrial broadcaster sends their over-the-air signal through the internet they shouldn't have to have two licenses and pay double because that is already covered by the over-the-air license for the music. It just goes to show you how greedy the recording industry is.


Now what about all that album art that stations display on the site with the song and other song information....

Not to be prying, but is it expensive to set up and run your station as far as the internet part, ISP, connection etc.?

Live365 covers all the ascap/BMI/Riaa fees, i pay $29.95 currently for 300mb of space to upload and host my playlists which i schedule using Prophet MusicGen

That's rather reasonable. I'll add that to my list of considerations. If they work with Prophet I'm sure they could work with something from AudioVAULT.

of course, i know people who use both nexgen 2 and hexgen 101 to broadcast
