Again, I suggest that a person be able to vote for more than one item. I subscribe to Mix, E.Q., Recording, Electronic Musician, Guitar World, Acoustic Guitar, and Brew Your Own.... and, occasionally buy others off the shelf. I would have voted for more than one.

Edited portion: Man, I can't believe that I forgot Stewart McDonald Suppy. Any one that is interested in Luthiery should check it out. (they have a website) and the catalog is FREE!

You left out Tape Op. It's the only one I read, and I usually read it from cover to cover within a few days of receiving it. I do believe a CEP 2.0 review showed up in Tape Op a few issues back.

I agree with voodoo, there should be more than one choice, I read eq, mix, electronic musician, the aes quarterly, tape op, broadcast sound and production, av video producer and e-media. yes I read them all every month TongueI thnk my favorite is tape op, larry crane is a guy who has come up the hard way, and knows how it should be done!

Based on discussions in numerous audio-related forums, I would venture to say Tape Op is a consensus favorite among nearly all those who are familiar with it. Those who haven't read it yet are just missing out. Subscription is free, which just makes it all that much better (and unlike free trade rags in most other industries, this one isn't full of a bunch of manufacturer-sponsered hype, though it expresses a wide range of opinion that should be taken with a grain or twelve of salt).

I don't doubt that Tape Op is "the real deal". What surprises me most is that I'd never heard of it. That... and the price! Wink

You might also check out artistPRO.com. The interviews are great.

Recently, (for fun)... I've been purchasing some "really old" back issue of Modern Recording and Modern Recording and Music from the early 70's. It is a serious trip to see Engineers touting the advantages of a "new" format or piece of gear and knowing now that it has long been surpassed. It is interesting to see how well (or not) the Artist and Engineers grasp the technology of that particular period. Shy

The new Pro Sound News has a pretty favorable (pre Adobe purchase) review of CEP 2.0 inside, as well as an interesting (although short) article quoting Ellison on his thoughts of... stuff. Yep.

I must have missed a vital piece or information somewhere. Some polls I open and I can register my vote. Others, like this one open up a thread - you can see the results but you can't vote even though it says the poll is open. What am I doing wrong?

That usually suggests that you've already voted.

I didn't see "Radio and Production" on the Mag list... It's almost the bible of Radio produciton people not only in the US, but a sizable amount of international Prod people.
