I'm working in an advertising agency, with a video production studio and my seperate audio facility. I often produce audio for video, but all post production has to be done in the video suite... If I could sync an MPG, AVI, or other video to CEP, I could produce the audio, then give it to our video guy in one piece, rather that making a lot of elements that he puts in the right places... Any solutions?

CEP just isn't sync or video friendly in its current iteration. One can only hope v2 will be.

I do a lot of video post audio mixing with CEP because its surgical style of editing suits film audio so well. Currently I sync CEP via a SMPTE/MTC interface to a VCR outputting LTC timecode. Having the ability to use AVI files in a session would save a lot of time getting frame accurate. One thing I would like to see is the ability to import the common types of EDL file generated by editing systems into the Cue list to give me markers where the editor put their cuts.
