Whenever I try recording a few seconds of speech, the automatic stop of the recording process does not work. It continues to record until I click stop. I am running Cool Edit Pro on Windows ME, 128 Mb Ram, 20Gb hard drive. How do I get the recording process to stop after 1 second of silence?
Hello RL. I'm not certain what you're referring to, but there isn't any 'automatic-stop' process that kicks in when Cool Edit records silence.
There is a Timed Record feature, and there is a FIND SILENCE feature, that will allow you to find and delete silence in between passages (on an existing wave)...but that's it.
