amariz11 Posts: 6	Posted - Wed Aug 08, 2001 10:26 am  Hello out there!! i have cool edit 1.0 (i know old !)and i also have the 1.1 version . i use the 1.0 because when i ran 1.1 and tried to record the recording bar would hesitate or skip. and after 10-15 seconds it would start to work fine . i have been reading in this forum and i believe it may have to do with direct X . i have 7.0 loaded. and am going to up grade to 8.0a and reload 1.1 and see what happends, but what i am wondering is if i upgrade the program will i lose my saved tracks from 1.0 version . i know the files are all located in the cool edit folder could i copy them to cd then upgrade ? or should i just continue to use 1.0 until i am done with my project?? any hope?
