Having just highlighted 50 wav files in explorer, then instead of hitting delete, stupidly hit return! 50 versions of CEP appeared.... I managed to finally close them all, but then after resarting just one CEP it told me that it was not set-up correctly! So I've re-installed and it told me it had found a backup copy of my cool.ini Yippee, or so I thought, it turns out this is a very old ini from ages ago, and doesn't contain my recent settings!
So I reckon I've lost the recent one? Once I've re-created my recent settings how can I make CEP back it up so if I have to re-install again it'll find the most recent ini file? (I'm using v1.2)
Thanks Chris.

Hello Chris. Well, for starters, I'd recommend upgrading to 1.2a. From there, I believe that when you upgrade, (or uninstall) it asks if you want to remove 'everything' or keep your configuration settings (ie, cool.ini).
But, the best way to ensure a backed up cool.ini is to manually do it yourself. Locate the cool.ini in C:\coolpro (once you have version 1.2a - 1.2 I believe stores it in the C:\windows directory; you can do a search and find out) In any event, copy the cool.ini file and rename it coolbak.ini. Put it in a safe place (ie, separate folder). You can then make newer backups as you create more presets. You could even name then cool75.ini (for July 5th) so that you have some kind of date on them if you wanted to keep multiple backups...but I imagine you'd just want to backup the most current one.
