Oh I made it work months ago. It's the script I can't get to work. I do my work manually. Also, I still get artifacts sometimes with some material. I can hear it.

Beetle, when you do your Auto Find, do it on
the original file, not the noise file. Also,
use 2nd-level verification. That should get
rid of your artifacts.

I have a question about Vinyl to CD, is there a plug-in which will automaticly divide the wav file into tracks? If not, is there a 3rd party program which you would recommend to do so? Thank you.

There is NOTHING available that will do it reliably, Jim.
You're gonna have to do it the hard way if you want to have it done right.

This is tangential to this thread but I went to areny's site and read the Tips and Method section with interest. I have a problem with two parts of it and thought perhaps throwing it to the masses would be more enlightening than just to areny.
1] the space between 'cuts' on older albums was chosen yet you talk of practically eliminating that time to that one can get more lps on one cd. My impression is that often a song or piece of music benefits from the longer than 2 seconds space to relish/consider what has been heard.
2] I don't understand why one should 'fade' the cut at the end instead of following the lead of the album itself. Most of the albums I have (especially of pop music) fade on the track what is the purpose of fading the fade?-j

Tailing a track that's coming from a piece of vinyl hides the noise floor of that medium, which in many cases, can be considerable.
All the best... -Jon

Careful use of noise reduction should effectively reduce the noise floor without affecting the music. Personally, I don't have a problem with fading tracks as long as it's done carefully and doesn't truncate the sound.
