Hi. Whenever I've had one session open and been running multiple EQs in it everything works fine and sounds the way it should but then when I close that session and open another one, the same EQs sound awful and very tinny. It's pretty easily fixed by shutting down CoolEdit (I have Pro 2) and then opening it again but I was wondering why it's doing this...

I haven't heard this described before. If it was some sort of bug you wouldn't be the only one having it of course, but firstly, are you using version 2.0 or 2.1? I'd suggest upgrading to 2.1 (free) as a first step anyway and see what the effect of that is. Also when you close the session, are you using 'close session and its waveforms' or which of the other alternatives? Are the eq's saved as presets and are they really the same as in the previous session? Just fishing for clues, I guess....

I've posted several times in the past about glitches with the graphic and parametric eqs. My solution is to, upon opening a session, just zip through and open the eq rack effects on each track - then close them. A quick open-and-close always restores normalcy to the tracks.

I've noticed this on 2.1 and 2.0. It's my least favorite bug.

Ah ok, thanks.

Yeah I'm using 2.0 (I'll get the update now) and I close the session with waveforms. The EQs are always the same presets I've created from session to session cos I'm finishing an album and I want a similar sound the whole way through. Closing CoolEdit and opening it again isn't that much of a problem I spose, it's just a strange bug.
