Is anyone selling, giving away, trading, or making any filters/effects for CEP? I noticed you guys supply the source...but I haven't been able to find anyone making addons.

There's DX effects of course, plus VSTs via a wrapper - which gives one a choice of thousands. As for add-ons dedicated to Cool Edit, the number is much smaller. ClickFix is probably the most popular. Aside from that, the only one that springs to mind is the 'MS Mixer', which seems for strange reasons only to be available from me these days (I've simply undertaken to email it to anyone who asks since the original developer disappeared from the net).

I know there are a couple of others but someone else may care to refresh my ageing memory.

There's a few .flt files for some of the odder file formats. I believe there's also one for Ogg-Vorbis (not quite so odd, these days).

It would be easier to answer the question if we knew what alphabasic needed.

If he's anything like me, he doesn't know what he wants till he finds it! I'm always downloading freeware effects just because they're there, like Everest.... not good professional practice, I know.

BTW, .xfm files seem to be the add-on effects for CE. And as Graeme points out, .flt files let you save in sundry formats.

Thanx for the info!

Then XFM is what I'm looking for...I prolly should've read up before I posted.

So is there ANY xfm filters out there? I remember someone having modified delay and tremolo a couple years ago...I'd also like to look into modifying/writing some filters (I do experimental stuff).

thanx!

Probably the best, if not the only, source of info is http://www.soundbytes.de/links.htm - and try searching Google for
xfm "Cool Edit"
and you'll find the odd other mention in amongst the irrelevant stuff. It's a shame that XFM is a popular name for a radio station....
