Hi radiokenny,
I punched the forum link on your page and it took me to:
http://home.comcast.net/~kanewell/#
I was expecting to be taken to a forum?
kylen
ed. I think I got it (web admin I'm not) I had to do a refresh on my Internet Explorer window. I had been over there earlier and my browser remembered!

I've been there and all I can say is.... THANK YOU!!! It is so much like our current forum that the migration should be simple. It is SO MUCH better than the alternative...

At the moment there are at least three 'places to be', to keep all bases covered - not time-efficient, but given that it reflects individuals' preferences and style, that's the way it will be for some time. For me there are pluses and minuses in all three formats - I find none seriously inhibiting (so far). Fortunately the differences between (say) CE, SF and Wavelab are more clearcut, so I only have to really familiarise myself with the first!

Is anyone else having trouble getting to the forum?
I tried in two browsers, both directly with this link: http://www.separatedband.com/cep/ and through timeline's link (which is the same).

I just punched your link and went right there.
Try hitting refresh about 10,000 times. If that doesn't work pick a fight with Dorothy about syntax or something to kill some time:D. By the time that's over with the link should work again...
kylen
ed. Maybe between an IE or Netscape browser - one will work!

Seems to be working now. For about an hour I was getting nothing. Before anyone gives me grief, yes I do have better things to do with my time than be on the internet, I just don't wanna.

Indeed. The time I spend on this forum (these fora?) is directly proportional to the size of the pile of my accounts to go through. The bigger the pile, the more I think "blow that, what's up on the net?".

Hmmmmm.....odd. Let me know if it happens again! I'm trying to be 'aware' of the server resources, just to make sure nothing bad happens, and to ensure that it stays up. My host provider does have some server resource restrictions (whatever THAT means; which is why I believe they are against MP3's...because of streaming audio)....but how could I complain? I'm not paying for it! I actually got a hold of my hosting accounts by helping them promote their services. It is the biggest account that they offer, but it is still not HUGE (i have unlimited database size though). lol!
I have been looking into back-up plans as far as hosting goes. Maybe I am getting ahead of myself, I dunno. I've been looking into various 'Dedicated' hosts, and I've even played with the idea of building a server. Pavell, any ideas? Ideas anyone? I figure it is good to have back-up plans, and plans for the future if we outgrow the space we are on now.
Another thought post, I recieved an email from my provider stating that they are upgrading some of thier software and that it could potentially cause odd-behaviour. Either way, please let me know if it happens again.

I noticed a bit of a slowdown about the same time as Jeremiah did, but it started working again shortly thereafter.

Empty beer cans on the road
are ugly, many say.
But when at night,
Reflecting bright, they safely guide the way.

Hi. Is anyone else having trouble logging on or registering on the new site? I registered a couple of days ago but never received the confirmation email. But the id (don4777) shows up in the Member list - and the site won't let me re-register using that name saying that it is already in use. I sent an email to radiokenny but didn't get anything back yet. Any ideas?

Thanks Chris. That did the trick. I checked and the email address appears to be correct. Probably just one of those gremlins that like to play in new systems.

We're fallin off the page here - no hopes in makin this a sticky I guess, eh ?
I'd not like we all (minus 1 - starts with a 'G') won't at least go and look at the new Adobe Audition Forums - I'm sure I'll try them out...

I guess no one will see you there, then. But I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of you on that "other" forum... Heh! :D
Obviously, the reason Adobe won't let you edit your posts is so that their database can be sent out to newsreaders.
I know, I know.... it's technology left over from the Pleistocene epoch... (DOS, anyone?) but a lot of people still use it.
My impression is that the "forums" on Adobe.com are really just an online representation of Adobe newsgroups. To each their own...
;)
