There's nothing quite like my tiny little Marshall Lead 12.

Seriously.

I've both owned and played through a boatload! I don't like their combo's and their "acoustic" amps are a joke. I prefer a 50 watt Marshall head run through (2) 4X12 MesaBoogie cabinets. Wink

EL34's are cool...

And I know I'm going to take flak for posting this here, but I think my favorite crunch is from a Mesa dual-recto through a Marshall cab loaded with Greenbacks.
Now that's something you can sink your teeth into!

I would agree it does "crunch". About 2 rigs ago, I had that exact setup and ended up swapping the Marshall cabinet out for 2 Peavey 5150's with Sheffields. The low end seemed alot tighter. I'm now pushing (2) Mesa Boogie 4X12's with EV's. However, I don't "play out" much anymore and seldom drag both of them out. Incidently, that's how I hurt my back in December, was "uncasing" one of the 4X12's. Approve

Haha, I'm part of the winning team I see;)
I use (and prefer) the JCM 900 50 Watt. The speaker I use is a Marshall 1960A (4x12').

Yes, I know... I figured you might eventually make that comment! heh!
:D

I know, this was meant to be a Marshall thread...
Still, those Mesas can be pretty cool, too.
(Now I'll really take some heat about that, hunh? Heh-heh!)
;)

Best... -Jon
