HI - anyone else had this or have a solution?
I think it's great in the new version (I have a trial one) that you can use the multitrack window to do convolution on waves and listen to the results in real time - and the speed of processing is a LOT faster than with 1.2a. Well done all at Syntrillium!!
I'm wavering about purchasing, however, because when I use the Convolution effect in the FX rack of the multitrack view, as soon as I add a wav to that track, the thing freezes and I have to crash out - not every time, but about 70% of the time. If I have the convolution effect in the rack but add a wav to a different track, no problem. But again, as soon as I move the wav into the track with the FX on it, it freezes.
A problem which may or may not be related, is that sometimes the multitrack window doesn't show the "Insert" option at the top. Toggling / reloading usually brings this back after a few attempts.
Any ideas, anyone? CEP otherwise working great! Machine Athlon xp2000+ 1GB ram 240GB HDD Soundblaster (yes, I know about Soundblaster, but it's actually working fine at the moment!!!)

Hi - Windows ME / ASUS v8420 (128MB). No probs I can see with ME resources.
Just to clarify, the "insert" option, when it's missing, isn't "blanked out", it's juts simply missing, ie all the remaining options have moved to the left, as if the multitrack view isn't somehow "loading" all of the options at the top.
Hope this helps!

It sounds to me like it might be a graphics driver issue.
Go to www.nvidia.com for a driver update.

Thanks - will try. But I'm intrigued, why should the graphics driver be an issue? Not something I'd have thought of!

When stuff doesn't show up on the screen, it is often a graphics driver problem rather than an application issue. I'm no bit-flipper myself, so the details are beyond me.

Display driver now loaded but unfortunately no change to the CEP behaviour. Basically, when it locks up I have to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to get out of it.
I'm guessing it's some problem with the combination of convolution FX and a wav file in that particular track, which makes it lock up.
Any other suggestions, anyone?
I don't really want to purchase CEP2 if it's going to do this to me, however wonderful it is (and it is!!!)/
