My computer crashed the other day so i had to buy a new motherboard and processor.
I've had no problems installing Cool Edit Pro 2.0 in my old computer but now when i try to install the installation hangs up at 89% at the exact same place.
C:\program\coolpro2\imps\\boingy.imp
That is where it hangs up every time.
I have rebooted my computer and it still happens every time.
Anyone have any idea why this happens?
I can't live without Cool Edit

If this is a download version, then download it again. If it's from the CD, then make sure that it's clean - it only takes one small blob or fingerprint in the wrong place to screw this up sometimes.
But there have been a few issues with downloads, which have all been resolved, as far as I'm aware, by downloading again. Although if it loaded okay before, this is perhaps a little odd...

Of course Steve's advise is right on, but.... in the event that these suggestions don't work, you might want to contact Synt Support.
