I have a long (7.5 hrs) MP3 recorded at 44.1 Khz, 16-bit Stereo at 56k bitrate. It's about 180 MB in size.
When trying to open this in CEP 2.0, it opens the file, but only the first 50 seconds. No errors or anything...it acts just as if it worked fine.
When single-clicking the file in the Open Dialog, it also says the length is 50 seconds. All my other audio apps open and play this file fine, and report its correct length.
Any idea what's going on?

Well, there's [url=http://forums.syntrillium.com/topic.asp?FORUM_TITLE=Cool Edit&CAT_ID=4&TOPIC_ID=1838&FORUM_ID=15&TOPIC_TITLE=Editing large MP3 files&REPLY_ID=5825] this previous thread[/url] and I know there are others to be found - part of the problem I believe can relate to the conversion necessary (in Cool Edit) from mp3 to wave format, which results in very large temp files - at 10Mb per minute for a stereo file, 7.5 hours will end up as.... well, you can calculate it yourself...
