All Forums  Cool Edit  .vox files play fine in cool edit but not in pro

sebas Posts: 1	Posted - Wed Mar 14, 2001 7:29 am  if I open a .vox file with coll edit demo version 1.52, it opens it at 8000/16bit/mono. To hear it fine I slow down the sample rate to 6000! If I do the same with cool edit pro version 1.0, it sounds like someones is calling me from a garbage can!! thnx
Syntrillium M.D. Location: USA Posts: 5124	Posted - Wed Mar 14, 2001 9:25 am  Well, Cool Edit 1.52 was designed to work strictly under the Windows 3.1 environment. We no longer support this version, and if you are trying to run it under Win95 or later, this could be part of the problem. Seeing as you are using a demo anyway, you probably want to just download the newest demo of Cool Edit 2000. If know the original sample/bit rate of the file, then you can convert it (once opened in CE2K) and then re-save to Dialogic VOX with the proper attributes.
