All Forums  Cool Edit  Plugin Weirdness

GillyAG Posts: 1	Posted - Mon Jan 08, 2001 10:42 pm  I have cool edit 2000. I downloaded version 1.1 from the website. and installed the Noise Reduction and Studio Preview Plugins. Then I decided to buy Cool Edit and so I got a serial number and registered Cool Edit. But know when I install Plugins. A message comes up saying, It can not find Cool Edit and most if not all of the cool Edit directory has been removed. Is any one else having the same problem?

The main question, of course, did you try and remove any of the components of the program manually? Hopefully, this was not the case. In any event, I would recommend downloading a new copy of the CE2K 1.1 demo. Install the demo. Then close all applications and run the registration key that was sent to you from the sales department. Here you will enter your name and serial number. Enter them EXACTLY as they appeared in the sales confirmation email. After that, run the application to make sure it registered properly. Now, if it did, install the plug-ins and then run Cool Edit. Go to Help>Buy Add Ons Now, click on a plugin in the list and then click ENTER SERIAL NUMBER. Do this for both plugins. invader9000 Posts: 299	Posted - Sat Jan 13, 2001 4:01 am  Maybe a demo version of the plug-ins cannot work with the licenced CE2k. You may need to buy the registered plug-ins
