aaronmalone74 Posts: 3	Posted - Thu Dec 21, 2000 8:39 pm  i get this message every time I try to record from the program "wind chimes" (syntrillium as well). I open wind chimes, open cool edit 2000 try to record and the message pops up. What might be causing this any ideas. Thanks for the help. Aaron
Syntrillium M.D. Location: USA Posts: 5124	Posted - Fri Dec 22, 2000 2:53 pm  Hi there. The MMSYSTEM008 message is generated by Windows, not Cool Edit. It is caused by trying to play or record at a sample rate not supported by your sound card. Try recording and playing back at a standard sample rate, such as 44100, 22050, or 11025 16-bit. Also, seeing as you are trying to record the output from Windchimes (assuming it is using your soundcard's internal midi generator) you'll want to select MIDI or SYNTHESIZER in your Windows Mixer for your recording device. Updating your driver is probably a good idea too, but try those other suggestions first. Let us know if you have further problems. ---Syntrillium Support _________________
